Family Caregivers Program of the Wyandotte Nation of Oklahoma has received a grant to help families caring for an older relative with chronic illness or aging disabilities. The program will enable the Tribe to provide for support services for family caregivers and for grandparents raising grandchildren. Caregivers are anyone who provides care and/or support services for an older individual who, for reasons of illness or frailty, cannot manage independently without assistance. Our program will enable a family member to choose a respite provider so they can do errands or have a day off.
